Couldn't help but notice that the Creation Station computers use an Intel P4 chipset. What model chipset is this, as I was under the impression that it was not compatible with Protools MBox?

Intel 900 series chipsets are not compatible with the current versions of ProTools.

Most off the shelf office and gaming systems shipping today are using a LGA socketed processor and a Intel 915 chipset that is incompatible with ProTools (at least on mboxes).

All of the Creation Stations are designed using Intel chipsets from the 800 series as they have been well proven, tested, and supported for compatibility with Digidesign ProTools (and most other DAW software)

If you what to see which chipset is in which machine, you can look here:

Hello,

incorrect information and I suggest to check the Digidesign website under compatibility for PT LE.

PT LE Chipset Requirements with Intel P4 processors:

Intel 925XE
Intel 915GL/915GV
Intel 875P
Intel 865PE
Intel 850/850E
Intel 845/845E/845PE

900 series chipsets are qualified now.

915P and 925X are not but the others are.

Thank you.

This apparently was just revised. Looks like they also just qualified the Athlon 64's.

I was referring to Mbox compatibility though...sorry if that was not clear.
