Digi 001 cable extension?

I'd like to put my Mac in an adjacent room to get rid of the fan noise. The light pipe is not necessarily an issue (though don't we all wish the connections weren't on the card?) but how about the connection cable to the breakout box? Can it be extended? Is there a longer one available?

Digi has figured out that the provided cable is the longest possible without loss of data.

if you go to the Dig web site - go to support and the DUC. go to 001/toolbox Mac forum and do a search - youll find somewhere to get this cable longer.
