Well, I've looked at a lot of gear, and I think I've settled on the Soundcraft GhostLE 24. But...I don't need that many channels. I guess I should get this console now, before they stop making it (anyone want to sell an Allen & Heath GS-3000)? I was thinking about getting a TL Audio M-3, instead, to kind of change the focus of what I was doing, but I don't think that gives me as much monitoring options. Help, I don't know what to buy!!

Kind of hard to answer without knowing what you care about and think is important in a desk.

The Ghost is a KILLER console, but it would help to know what your needs are first. I could be mistaken, but I believe Allen & Heath no longer make the GS series since A&H and Soundcraft are owned by the same company. Basically, A&H is focusing on live boards while Soundcraft is doing the Ghost for recording. I personally use a GL3300 40ch console for live and love it! However, the Ghost is better suited for recording/mixdown.

Thanks Brad---just need to obtain a decent board..with sweeping eq--8 sends per channel--some head room---mixing our MIDI kurzweils together(16 channels) with the 8 direct outs of our VS1680--really need 32 channels---Looks like the Ghost wins--

depending on your needs, an a&h may suit you fine. i'm using a GL2200 and love it.
