recently bought an 882 studio and the old quadra that it's been running on. i have experience with every digidesign interface but this one.the software won't open because of what appears to be a need for more drive space. there is one cable, with a scsi adaptor on it connected to the face of the nubus card that i am assuming wants to be hooked up to an external scsi drive. am i right about that? the external scsi jack on the card hooks up to the interface right? i could use any help at all with this.
thanks,
dave
Sounds like you have it right. There are two cables that connect to the Nubus card. One is obviously an old style Centronics SCSI cable. That MUST be connected to a working SCSI drive in order for the software to launch. Then, there is a second cable that has a SCSI 2 connector on each end. This is the audio cable that runs between the 882 Studio and the Nubus card. Once you have all this in place, with a working computer and the correct version of software you should be all set.
