I'm getting the "HP CD-Writer 8230e" for Christmas and I was just wondering if anyone has any comments about it?
I couldn't wait, I had to try it so I hooked it up to my iMac. Even though it doesn't come with any Mac software, Toast 5.whatever actually read the Drive and worked just fine, I didn't have to install anything. It was simple, just plug in and go! Surprised me.
I just tried it once, I made a copy of "Hoyles Board games" running at 4x and it only took like 13 minutes. So far it works great.
I've read some good reviews about it and some bad ones. The funny thing is that all the bad reviews the HP CD-Writer 8230e got were from pc users, (Windows) HAHA
Anyways so far so good. Has anyone else tried this Drive on a Mac? If so I would love to hear your feedback.
