Does a project have to be tracked in Pro Tools, in order to be mixed and mastered in PT?

In other words; if I tracked drums and bass (scratch guitar and vocal) in a PT studio and wanted to dump them on a Glyph Firewire external drive, bring them home and ad more tracks, before returning to said PT studio for final mixing -- what software environments are compatable? Sonar? Motu? etc...?

I work with 3 different PT studios and need to be able to bring projects home for additional guitar tracks.

thanks,

Pretty much any software will do. Just make sure the studio you are in knows that you are doing that so they can export the files in such a way to make it easy for you:)

The most fun thing I have done in PT came from .mod (yep, ATARI tracking format) files that were converted to .wav. We just imported them into PT and away we went.
