Hello.
Im getting a pair of active, maybe you have some wise words to offer,friends..
I want a Small and solid speaker to monitor my wet wild droney techno trax. The smaller the better, but i Still need to hear some bass, right now i hear nothing under 70 and my mixing is a guesswork while watching the woofer membrane,no more of that!
I know i cant get any real bass out of a small speaker, but there are degrees in hell...
OK Small,Active and a Reasonable Bassresponse is my criteria.
Im willig to spend alot of my savings on this-up to 1000 a pair.
I been looking at Event ps 6/ps8 tannoy reveal krk v4/v6
Alesis m1 Yammawhamma msp5 ,but the list doesent stop there,To confuse me I also checking Hafler Audix MAudio or maybe Genelec
All I can say is UHhhhhh!
Hey I cant listen to all of these....i live on the countryside!
Wat are yours experience?

IMHO---

JBL LSR25P, only 600 for a pair, active, and small, They don't go really low, but they do well for the size.

what monitors are you using now? maybe you should look into a subwoofer instead. something with an active crossover that is sweepable. i have a pair of tannoys that i still compliment with a sufwoofer to pick the frequencies below 55hz.

you may want to consider a couple of small monitors and a sub!

maybe the tannoy reveals, and their small sub.

ultimately, you're not going to get the bass you need out of 6" woofers!
