Set-up :
Cubase VST32
Yamaha DSPFactory
ax88 24 bit 8in/out
Mackie 1604VLZ

I thought of submixing everything from the Mackie "Main Outs" into the DSP Factory on two channels and then using the AUX SENDS on the DSPF for headphone monitor sends but how do I monitor back in the Control Room without creating a feedback loop ?

Mackie OUT - DSPFactory IN/OUT - Mackie IN -HR824's
DSPFactory AUX Sends 1&2 to Headphone AMP

Dilemma.

Use the direct outs on submix 1 and 2 rather than the main outs?

Well, to be a little more verbose, you could plug the 8 outs of the ax88 (thats your interface, right?) into channels 9-16 on the mixer (which are labeled track 1-8 I think). Between the direct outs on channels 1-8, and the direct outs on the sub mixes, you could get stuff to the interface. If you want to monitor in real time, well, I don't know. You could use headphones on an AUX send, and mix from the source thats being recorded, as well as whatever you want coming back from the computer on channels 9-16. Just get a small headphone amp, and plug it into the aux send.
