I am looking to find a snake style multiple splitter unit to run signals to our sound reinforcement mixer as well as our recording mixer; does anybody have any idea where I can find a item like this if at all? I cannot locate anything on the internet!
Any retailer, manufactuers, etc. that someone can recommend?

You're looking for a mic splitter, but I bet you knew that. Whirlwind, ProCo, Horizon, Rapco, Conquest all have these available.

Whirlwind makes several different kinds. I use their SPC series for installs, which are 1-rackspace 8-channel modular units which terminate in 24-position Euroblock connectors on the back.

Here's the Whirlwind splitter page. Scroll down a bit for SPC series: Whirlwind splitters (http://www.whirlwindusa.com/split.html) There's some snake versions as well, but these are typically always custom jobs.

They can be ordered 1:2, 1:3, with or without phantom power inputs (voltage is supplied by a separate Whirlwind DCSP1 phantom supply). You can get them with Jensen transformers for (significantly) more money. The Whirlwind transformers sound okay. I typically feed the transformer splits to FOH and monitor, and the direct split to the recording mixer. I have always fed phantom power via the splitter, as it's much less complicated.

There are also 1:2 and 1:3 line level versions.

The 1:3 versions cost almost the same as the 1:2 versions.

I like these because they are very easy to install, they wire up quickly, and you can add as many 8-channel units as you need splitter channels. I have started using them for installs, and to show my level of endorsement, I have 56 channels of them in the church system I mix on every week.

If you want to get radical, check out Aviom's A-Net (A-16I, A-16O, and whatever the 16-channel mic pre version is) system. I know some fairly high-end guys who are using this to distribute and feed all their channels at FOH, monitor, and record, replacing the snake entirely.
