Hi
I have a new Soundblaster platinum 5.1 and I am trying to get my TR-Rack to work with it in cubase VST running win 2000. Every time I turn on my rack it freezes?
Do I need new drivers?
How and where do I install them?
Or how can I upgrade the OS on my TR-Rack?
What am I doing wrong?
Please help!

1. Make sure you can hear MIDI using the soundblaster/computer speakers. Then you will know that it is installed correctly.
2. How are you interfaced with the rack? Is it by MIDI cables?
3. IF it is MIDI cables...... make sure you have selected the correct output patch (ie: Soundblaster Live! MIDI out , or something close to that name..... is the patch to the MIDI out cable)
4. Hook up ONLY the output to the rack first. This will tell you if the lock-up is caused by something the rack is SENDING to the computer.
5. Soundblaster cards have 'soundfonts' that offer a wide range of samples...... if you want to use soundfonts, you need to load them into the Soundblaster's banks (done with soundblaster utilities)
6. PLEASE...... respond if this helps..... so I know I didn't waste my time!..... Thanks!
