Anyone seen any performance specs yet, under 64-bit windows?
Xstatic, you said you've got this setup. Do you have the Windows 64-bit version? I think it's only a beta...?

Further, when does SX3 come out?
It's supposed to take advantage of all the 64-bit stuff, right?

Also, has anyone tried the dual processor AMD system? I think you have to use the Ahtlon 64 FX (which are about $600 bucks apiece) to get a dual-processor board, correct?

Thanks guys,

Stephen

I am running Windows 2000. I am going to wait a little while longer before I try the 64 bit windows. Also, I am running Nuendo currently, and I believe Cubase SX3 is already out.

I don't really know anything about dual porcessor setups so I can't help you there.

If you're interested in a dual-processor AMD setup, consider the AMD Opteron, a workstation CPU designed for multi-CPU systems. Each processor can be had for under $200. Consider this gem (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-405&depa=1), for example.

Steinberg.net is still taking pre-orders for SX3, so I assume it is not out yet.
