I'm looking for a 5.1 channel volume control box to drive my Mackie HR-824's.

This is the closest thing I've found so far that'll work:

Does anyone have any suggestions of other brands that offer similar functionality? Ideally I'd like to drive the input from the RCA output jacks of a MOTU 2408. But I'd still like to hear suggestions that might not be an exact fit also.

Thanks,

Alex

We often sell home theater surround sound preamps (basically a surround sound receiver with no amplifier section) for that application. One advantage is that it's easy to hook a DVD player up to it to check your mixes against commercial ones, or to play reference one offs-you've made with the Kind of Loud Smart Code software.

the Bryston SP-1 is great.

unfortunately, with most processors, you're looking at an aditional stage of ADA conversion, to accomodate delays etc.

i've heard really good things about the Switchman MKII from EMM Labs. EMM is doing a lot of crazy stuff. they're based in Calgary Alberta.

the coleman is an inexpensive solution though
