Tascam US-428

G'day

I am in the market for a MAC and the Tascam Us 428 USB interface. I am switching from PC and have no prior experience with the Tascam unit, nor can I find any info on it other than sales propaganda. Have you (yes you) had any experience with it, or have any idea regarding its reliabilty, compatibilty, and operation?
You have no idea how much I would appreciate it if you had some feedback, 'cos other users have all the clues, not salespeople (I'm one of those, so I know! unfortunately we don't sell these units though).

Problems with the Tascam with OSX10.2, seems to be with the Mac Core Audio drivers, not the Tascam, since it works fine with OS9.2.2. Tascam has some drivers on their web site but they don't do much good (they say "OSX" but apparently that's pre-Jaguar drivers). I'm back in OS9.2 and working with Bias Peak & Deck with no problems. Maybe Apple will straighten this out.
