I'm doing audio post production work with my MBOX, ProTools LE system which usually works great. Unfortunately, when I import my movie files, the system runs too slow. I'm running a P4, 512 MB RAM, 2.4 GHz.
Is there a system that is better suited for audio/video production, something that won't drag when using video files? Something within $0-4000 range?
I'd also like to expand into the world of surround sound for film. What is an entry level solution for surround sound production? Is it possible to use 6 of the Digi 002's 8 analog outputs to feed 5 speakers and one sub?
