Hey all. I'm away from my gear right now, so I don't have the oppertunity to try this out right now.

I'm planning on buying the Presonus Central Station. I want to take advantage of the digital inputs instead of using the analog inputs. Simultaneously, I need to have my Alesis AI-3 ADAT converter connected to my 002R.

So my question is this. Will I have the ability to monitor my mixes using the digital S/PDIF output of the 002R and still utilize the ADAT optical input on the 002R simultaneously?

If this won't work, then I suppose I'll have to use the analog outputs of the 002R to feed the Central Station.

Thanks,
Andy

I think as long as you have the s/pdif set to RCA, and the optical set to ADAT you should be ok. You just can't use s/pdif protocol in both the RCA and optical at the same time.

So you're saying -

As long as the S/PDIF input isn't set to ADAT, then it can work together at the same time? That is, my S/PDIF is going through the RCA inputs, and my AI-3 converter can feed the ADAT optical inputs? And this would work together simultaneously?
