I am now venturing into the world of MIDI and have recently decided that I need a controller, but know nothing about what to get. I am running Pro Tools Le 6.1.1 and have a Digi 002 Rack and have just dicovered that the reason I can't work sampletank and the digital sampler in Reason is becasue I need a MIDI controller, but do I need one to work Ableton Live as well??? So help me out guys, what kind of controllers do yuo recommend??? Like electronic keyboards or what, I'm lost. I need something somewhat inexpensive that can get the job done right and provide me with a quality controller. What kinds of things do I need to focus on before buying a controller??? Thanks!

Get the Radium from M Audio.
I use it with Reason and Live and it works wonderfully, and have assignable faders and knobs that you can use to control parameters in different plugins and software. Check it out here: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Radium/
