KORG D1600 - can it disable its mic pre's?

I am thinking about a Korg D1600. Does anyone know if its mic pre-amps can be disabled so that external pre-amps can be used? Also, has anyone used external signal processors with it and if so, how and how did it work? Any other thoughts on this machine?

not sur eon the answers for your questions.... but i do have one.. and overall, i LOVE it....i use it to record.. but i also use it on stage to run backign tracks as well as an on stage mixer
