ata vs firewire

I've got an extra internal ata100 drive in my G4 and was wondering what the speed difference is between firewire and ata. I know that scsi UW is faster than both of these. Help if you can? Should I expect performance issues in the future?

Right now there is no speed advantage to Firewire drives (which are just IDE drives in disquise). That will probably change in the future, but ATA is fine so long as the drive is fast enough to do what you need.
