Problem History:
March 1989
Installed AMIII card with Pro Tools 4 on Mac 7200 - 75, OS7.?
.:: Result - Worked great for a time ... few months
August 1998
Noticed Disk errors from time to time. Re-installed Pro Tools 4
.:: Result - could not re-install "D-fx" the Authorizer disk told me to take a hike.
Early 1999
Disk errors revisited. Installed new HD, Upgrade OS to 8.0, 3rd Install of Pro Tools
Still no luck with "D-fx".
.:: Result - no more disk errors ... but get inconsistant results during recording. Sometimes
2 - tracks at a time but most of the time only 1.
Mid- 2000
Gave up on Pro Tools
.:: Result - Didn't use for over a year.
NOW
Upgraded to a Mac 9600 233, Firewire Drive, upgraded OS to 8.6
.:: Result - Recovered 2 track recording for a time but have since lost it again!
I would really like to [1] regain use of FX and [2] record on 2 tracks at a time. Any responce would be appreciated.
