Is there such a resource that will walk you step by step thru creating and modifying a sequence? A Software package? An instruction video?

I have been able to find Midi or Sequencing for Dummies or Idiots in any book stores...

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated...

The best software I have ever used is from www.pgmusic.com
They make Band-In-A Box ( a music/MIDI) creation program. You type in a chord progression (ie. C / Am / F /G) and BIAB will turn it into a song by applying one of it's styles that you choose. The program comes with video clips and demos to show how to use all the features. It can also 'dis-assemble' MIDIs and record the chords onto the chord sheet of their program.
Also they make Power Tracks.... a sequencer program that also allows you to add analog recordings to the midi (like you singing or playing along), then rendering it as a wave or mp3 file. This program also has great instructions that come with it. I have been using their stuff since around 1990, and it has been lots of fun to create with. Hope this helps P.S. I don't work for them, I just like the programs.
