Ok here is the deal:
I live in Romania, i have the opportunity to buy an allready made & fully functional studio.
The guy is asking $50.000 + taxes (19%)= $59.500
He has a gear expertise that confirms the value of the equipment, but it's wrongly done (not surprised if on purpose...), some abjects have the de-valuation in 6 years and others in 12 years, and i know that houses de-valuate in 15 years, so for example this guy has his pc put on a 12 year devaluation wich is crap.
The studio is in one of the major cities, but no muzic biz there, so it will be relocated in the capital where all the big money rolls.
He will also leave me the logo, the name he has made, the artist rooster he has worked with, all the contracts, all the contacts, he will personally reinstall the studio in the capital, show me how all things are connected & why so ( i mean gear interconnection ), he will also leave the best studio enginneer to work for me for the first few months, also all the albums the studio has made ( 45, only 14 accepted by the record companies )
Now here is an allmost complete list of what this studio is:
Yamama O2RV2
Roland TD 10
Yamaha SY99
Kurzweil K2500s ( with sampling upgrade SMP 2K )
Ensonic ASRX
Fostex 16 tracks
Yamaha DSP 2416
AX 44
AX16
AT SVG 1000+Cubase VST 24, 96 tracks
Yamaha CRW 4260 TX
MOTU Time piece
Roland VG 8
Roland GI 10
Digitech DSP 2112 dual S
Digitech Studio Vocalist
Yamaha SPX 990
Audio Phonic
T.C. Electronic 96k
Fostex D5
Tascam 122 MK III
Sony MDS JA 30ES
Yamaha HC 1500
Audiotehnica AT 4033
Sennheiser MD 431 S1
Yamaha NS10 Studio
Mackie HR 824
B&M
Sennheiser mic
AKG mic
Cubase VST 24
Wavelab
T.C.Electronic
Waves
Spectral Design
SAW
Arboretum
Plus tons of backup cables, optical cables, optical cables adaptors for anything, sample cd's etc.
I think this whole thing is worth about 20-30.000 with taxes(19% ), so 59.500 with taxes is too much, but he also leaves me all the contacts, contracts etc what i've described above, and a fullly functional studio, i won't have to build it and make equipment work together, so the big question is:
Should i get this one?
Another thing is that this guy is selling cuz he's leaving for Canada, but i am probably the only buyer, so should i wait till he is really time pressed & get it for a lot less?; there are allready 2 artists here that will start recording imediately as soon as the studio is relocated & functional (november) & the guy plans to leave in march next year
Now that you're fully informed, i am counting on your advice, fell free to ask any further questions if i haven't explained them here
Thanks
