I have a Roland V-Concert drum kit and recently obtained three extra PD-7 pads. I planned to use one pad for ride/crash, the other as an effect/splash, and keep the third as a backup.
I used "crash 1" and "crash 2" for the two pads included with the kit and the "ride" input for one of the additional pads. When I try to use the 11/12 jack for the splash/effect pad only the center will trigger at input 11, I assumed that the rim would trigger as input 12.
I have set the pad type correctly through setup, checked cables, pads, sensitvity, polarity and volume settings and all are ok.
Is it possible for me to use input jack 11/12 with a single pd-7 and use the dual triggers? I know I could use an insert cable and two seperate pads but the only problem is that the rack is becoming slightly overcrowded so if there is anyway I can use the dual triggering ability of my PD-7's it would be best. Can it be done or is it wishfull thinking?
Thanks for any help.
