can, anyone give me any info on a satellite electric guitar please i have searched the net but not found anything. my son has just got a fender strat for xmas and we had bought him this satellite second hand over a year ago. it looks as if it is from the 70's or 80's but i am not sure. if need be i can take a picture of it if this helps. the guitar is a very dark blue nearly black with tints of green in it. all it says is satellite no other marks that i can see. hope someone can e-mail me with some info or site that will help me find out the year it was made etc.
thanks ..... martin

I have a satelite les paul copy, i dont know much about them other than it is quite an old manufacturer that i think has stopped producing them. Some people have been reviewing them as cheap and nasty guitars but this one is over 30 years old and it sounds as sweet as any other guitar i have played. Thats about my lot, sorry i got no other info.

I have a Strat copy by Satellite. Looking at the electronic components and general design I would say that the guitar is from the late 70s (Japanese ?). It really has a nice warm vintage sound, I love this guitar !
