Hi folks!
Just wondering....... I'm trying to decide between Sonar 3 producer and S3 studio. If I were going to get the UAD-1 card anyway, would it still be worth it to go for producer? I do like the per-track EQ in producer, but since a nice EQ is included in the UAD-1 package, is it necessary? Not that $200.00 is that big of a diff, but I'm definatly the sort that's low on money.

Thanks!
Nick

Well, IMHO the Ultrafunk plug ins are a nice back up when you max out the UAD-1. They sound very neutral and are low on CPU cycles so yeah, I would opt for the Producer version.

The problem is, the UAD-1 plug ins sound so darn good that you end up using them all over and quickly can max out the card on 16 tracks. You will need additional plug ins that are low in CPU cycles and the Ultrafunk stuff fits the bill.

Eventually, as others have found, you end up wanting a 2nd UAD-1.

Thanks for the quick reply!!
How many plug-ins will the UAD-1 run B4 you run out of DSP? How's the Pantheon 'verb?

Thanks!
