Dear PMhr3,
Remove the ATI Driver update in the extensions folder. *That should help with these type errors. This solution is courtesy of one of our local Digi reps.
I hope this helps.

To expand on Kenny's tip, use Apple System Profiler to determine whether you have an ATI monitor card or an NVDIA card. If you have ATI, disable the NVDIA drivers in extensions manager. If you have NVDIA, disable all ATI.
Also check DAE's Playback Buffer Size. Click DAE in the finder (while Protools is running), and choose "Set DAE Playback Buffer" in the FILE menu. It's default setting is 2. If it's moved to 0, change it back to 2. If it's still at 2, try raising it to 4.
