ProTools "Bounce Handler Can't keep Up"

ok so I just installed my new 001 and the 6.1 le software... I upgraded from the Mbox and PT 5.3.3... now when I try to bounce to disk anything more than 24 tracks or so I get an error halfway through that says "bounce handler can't keep up" this never used to happen. I've been through all the buffer settings and what not.... I'm thinking I need more RAM.... can anyone confirm? right now I have 384meg

More ram would be good, I consider 512 to be the bare minimum since just the host operating system usually can hog up most of anything less. Also make sure "Convert After Bounce" is checked.
