I bought an EMI 2/6 a couple of months ago from Sweetwater (great company by the way). This is a 16 or 24 bit digital and analog 'card' or interface between the DAW and the PC. The Gateway PC (PIII 1100) is a small footprint box and will not accomodate a PCI card. The EMI is a USB device.
The PC is constantly crashing using this thing. I've called EMI twice and downloaded the latest driver. So far no luck. The program I use most is Sound Forge although I've tried Cool Edit Pro (demo version) and get the same results.
Anyone have any ideas?
