i'm putting together a live setup for my band - we have a small tour coming up and we're going out w/o our own soundman for the first time. hoping to get some suggestion or even warnings on the potential problems we might face! i haven't bought everything just yet and will probably only have 1 week to test the system in a space before tour!! your expertise would be greatly appreciated!

my band is a 4 piece, vocals, keyboards, guitar, and acoustic/electronic drums. we also have a few prerecorded tracks running off a titanuim powerbook/motu 828 mk2.

we're running everything into a yamaha 01v (placed sidestage) - including our own drum and vocal mics, all using sennheiser ew300 IEM systems. all we're sending to FOH is a stereo out, much like a DJ setup. the only part of the system i really haven't tested yet is the drum mics, i'm not too worried about feedback since we wont have any wedges or other sound sources onstage.

opinions?

cheers,
wade
