I am considering purchasing a digi 002 rack system and I need to be able to use the ADAT inputs. Since the 01v96 board cam out, I have seen the 01v's going very cheap. My only concern is that the 01v is a 20 bit mixer, while I will will be going into digi 002 at 16 or 24 bits thru lightpipe. does this cause any audible problems? Do I need to synchronize the two units via wordclock or MTC? If anybody has any experience with the 01v, or a similar situation some info would be wonderful. Thanks.
-also, maybe I should consider a 8 channel pre with ADAT out instead? I have looked at the PreSonus Digimax, which would make my setup more portable, which is always good. Anyway, If anyone has any info on the digimax or other comparable pre, that would be really cool. Thanks again.
