I'm under the impression that Unisyn is a dead product line and would like to swith to SoundDiver. My only concern is that Digital Performer won't recognize banks managed with SoundDiver. Are any of you using both products and do they integrate well? Thanks!

hi there,
you've probably found out your answer by now, but if you haven't my experiece has been that the SoundDiver patch names will not convert to Digital Performer, banks or otherwise. Unisyn has been a great disappointment in an otherwise tremendous company product line. I switched to SoundDiver about two years ago, and after some preliminary missteps found it to be a very robust program that supports most everything in my racks.

Nimbus,
Thank's for confirming my fear. I love DP but the extreme lag in module support for Unisyn has made me consider switching to Logic...

Actually, I find that SoundDiver doesn't integrate all that well with Logic either. Or at least, my experience with those two together has been somewhat frustrating. It could just be my setup.

hello all,
What I wind up doing with SoundDiver, let's say in an instance where Digital Performer doesn't have any names or bank select for a module, e.g., Access Virus; is print out a complete list of the Virus patches and banks sorted by bank from Sound Diver, then when I'm in DP and go to the Virus module, if the patch happens to be in the default bank A, I'll just select the correct patch number (offset by one place as it turns out) and name it in the comments box.
If, on the other hand, it is a different bank number, then I'm forced to input in measure one via the events editor, a bank and, heck, while I'm at it the correct patch # as well so that DP doesn't override to the default patch when you initiate play or record.
Less, than satisfying. If anyone out there has come upon some neat effortless strategy, we're more than willing to listen and experiment.
