hey

i'm currently using the digi001 system with the macg4 500, etc .. about to get the digimax (looks GREAT) .. i've been using the system for about a year now .. but from the moment i put the system together i had the itch to upgrade to the TDM mix or such .. it's a constant thing .. just wanted to here some opinions on how to do that 'affordably' .. are there any easier ways to get hold of the apogee interfaces .. the 888s .. etc .. how about the TDM pro tools Mix and such? thing is - i see quite a bit on auctions and trading posts .. how do you guys feel about buying these type of products from auctions and such? i've seen some great deals but im a bit hesitant since putting this stuff together and getting it all to work together isn't easy .. sometimes i just think its better to buy from a 'company' so i can get warranty and service .. any comments?

The tech support you get when you buy it from the company, or a dealer is well worth the extra money. DAWs can be a *****, and its nice to have someone to fall back on.

He's right. The most important part of the sale, is service that you get after you start to have problems with your system. I'm sorry to admit it but I've bought some equipment from a small company and even bought used ****.....****. When I had a problem with it they were like....hey, why don't you call Yamaha or just try messing around with it...you'll figure it out.
Sorry Sweetwater I learned my lesson. I highly recomend that you work a little overtime to pay for a new item and buy piece of mind from a big company with a great tech support such as sweetwater.......Hey Sweetwater my checks from me advertising you guys is late this month. LOL.....joking!!!! I'll take a new manely compressor or even a mic pre instead....hahahahaha...seriously!
