View Full Version : Which Soundcard should I get?

Hey yall, need to decide on which route to go. Options that i am thinking right now, is either a OmniStudio or a Digi001. If I got the Omni I think I would probably go with Sonar. I am going to be recording only one thing at a time. Elec Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Elec Bass, and Vocals. Then would like to use some sort of software synth for the drums. I want ease of use, and low noise above anything else. What would yall pick?

Omni Studio Bundle with Sonar XL or TASCAM US-428 with Sonar XL works for me.

Ok now what would be better and easier to use? The Tascam or the Omni? What will have WDM Support?

Better WDM support, - Tascam US-428 with SONAR XL. Easier to use, Omni with SONAR XL. It's up to you.

Really, the Tascam has WDM support? I went to there webpage to find a wdm driver of some sort with no luck.

download the driver, preferably version 2.0, wdm is automatically supported.

THE omnistudio with the Delta 66 has been a godsend for me. can't go wrong.
