During computer games, like GTA 3 and Battlefield 1942, my computer locks up in the middle of the game the sound clip starts repeatdly playing and the monitor tunrns black..

Only way out is to pull the plug. I'm getty really annoyed is to format the only way?

This typically isn't our niche at Sweetwater, but my guess is that your audio and video cards are either conflicting over an irq or dma setting, or that the drivers are incompatible. The usual procedure is in order...download the most recent version of DirectX, and the driver for each card.
