Hi,

I've got a problem. 2 days ago my system started running CHKDSK on my Audio SCSI at boot up (XP Pro SP1a). I have a dual boot with max tweaks on the Audio Partition. The only thing I can attribute it to is a change I made in my power scheme: I set the hard drives to power down after 10 minutes on the NON-AUDIO drive. Prior to the problem, I heard the SCSI powering down, probably because it only contains Audio data. I have isolated the problem and it seems to be one wave file from a track that isn't important. The track came up with 0 bytes. Has anyone had this experience?

I believe that somewhere in my tweaks there was one for releasing the recovery of data in the event of a system shut-down. I noticed that this tweak is computer wide and not just limited to the Audio Partition. I'm wondering if this combined with the SCSI power down did the deed.

My next step is to backup what I've got on the SCSI, reformat and copy the files back, unless anyone has a suggestion.

Try reinstalling the scsi card

Upon the advice of a fellow studio owner I removed all the data from the drive and did a machine level format from the SCSI Bio. The "Better safe than sorry" approach. Then put the data back on the drive and now everything is working perfect. I also disabled the drive shut down on a bootable partitions. I pretty sure that was the problem.
