View Full Version : gina20 and win2k driver problems

ok, so i've got a gina20 (the original one, the one distributed by event, whether or not that makes a different) and i've got the 2000 beta drivers and yeah, i'm running windows 2000. i install them... and they don't work. everything tells me that they should be: device manager says the device is working fine and the drivers are installed properly.

yet, when i attempt to playback in winamp, a) no sound comes out, and b) playback is *extremely* jerky and slow. the same goes for windows media player. hang ups occur when i attempt to open fruity loops 3 and sound forge 4.5c. i haven't tried running games with it yet, however, but i expect similar results.

system:

amd tbird 900
abit kt7a mobo (kt133 chipset)
256mb ram
gina 20
ibm deskstar 60xp 40gb drive (brand new)
clean, first time install of win2k w/ sp2

respond asap, please

thanks

Jon,
I suspect that the issue is Winamp trying to play through the Gina...do you have a good old Soundblaster card you can put in without any conflicts?? You CAN have both in there you know...
