cheap PA

Hey y'all,

I'm in this three piece rock and roll band and all I need a PA for is so people can hear me yelling over the guitar amps and that monkey beating on the skins. I suppose I might like to mic the kick here and there, but really, I just need something with two imputs and enough power to thrill 100 to 300 drunkards in a bar.

And I ain't got no money. I mean, I might could spend $400 but it would hurt bad. I've seen an 80 watt system going for less than $200. Is that enough power? We're purty loud.

I guess I should put more zeros in my numerals to get a response. Don't worry though, I spoke with a person face to face who didn't seem to have any need for oneupmanship and he told me what I needed to know.

80 watts seems like not nearly enough power to cover that. Especially if your band is loud. In this price range I would look for something used. Maybe a pair of speakers with a 15 and a horn with a single power amp to power them. Hopefully at least 300 watts a side. Good luck:)
