Is there a way to run GM sounds from PT or DP using a Mac? (i.e. sound card) OR... what's a good sound module/soft synth that's say $100 or less? if any.... Cel

I use Band-In-A-box ( www.pgmusic.com ). That program comes with a virtual synth (Roland VSC3)..... it basicly plays midi files using digital samples, and the output is an audio sound (instead of soundcard generated midi sounds). It has over 900 instrument samples, and sounds very nice. It has effects control built in, and the ability to convert a midi file to a wave file very quickly.... without having to play the midi. The VSC3 is available seperately if you just want it (I think). They also have audio samples to see how it sounds. I have a PC... so I'm not sure if this has a mac version.... but I know many Mac users have PC imulators to be able to run PC programs.
