How does Smartcode Pro Dolby software work with Protools LE?

Hi there

Since PT LE does not support surround panning, I was wondering how the Smartcode Pro Dolby plugin works with PT LE?
I was thinking of doing the surround on my 03D, and then send the 6 tracks back into PT LE on 6 individual tracks. Finally I would encode with the Smartcode.

Is this possible to do in PT LE????

How do you encode, when you dont have a 5.1 track?

Smartcode Dolby only runs under a Protools TDM system, like HD or MIX.
Actually, I'm don't think this plugin even does panning. It mainly just takes the 6 audio files and turns them into one digital AC3 file that is Dolby compatible.

Actually the Smartcode plugin does work with PTLE, atleast thats what the info tells me on the Universal website.

Looks like you're correct. I'll update our records. It's possible my info came from some earlier lit for the TDM only version.
