I was looking into starting a web-hosting company with a friend of mine. We have a host from which we've purchased a reseller account, and are just preparing out webpage and the deals we're going to be offering. I just wanted to ask everyone out there how they think is the best way to approach this.
How to make our presence known, how to build a clientel, etc.
As well as the kinds of suggestions adn things to watch out for.
We're planning on starting off with different packages, plus a custom package for anyone who wants a special type of account. Our accounts range from 'The Starter' with 50mbs of space, 2.5gbs bandwidth, 5 email accounts, and one sub-domain to the 'Platinum Account' with 5gbs of space, 20 domains, 1000 POP-accounts, 57mb bandwidth with 30 sub-domains. The prices range from $4.95 to $49.95 US. Any suggestions on pricing, or what to offer with the packages. Our host is offering cPanel, but Plesk is also an option. We're not intersted in making a huge profit right off the bat, but instead to make our presence known, and to just build customer confidence.
Any and all suggestions are more than welcomes. Either through responding to this email, or through direct contact, at TheRKz@hotmail.com. Anyone intersted in being hosted is also more than welcome to contact us. Thanks again for any advice the HardOCP crowd can offer us.
