I am contemplating getting a pair of 9.1G IBM SCA drives and striping them as a RAID to do additional audio recording onto my mac (PTP) I already have an U2W card running 2 IBM drives and would like to add more disk space and speed since the disk speed seems to be the curren bottleneck that I have. Any ideas on this? I know I need to find a pair of 80 to 68 pin adapters, but I remember hearing that SCA drives have reduced data transfer somewhere. I can't remember if it was critical or not. Thanks!

What software/hardware programs are you going to be using these with? Most manufacturer's do not support and have found that RAID systems are a unreliable source to record audio to.

I was hoping to use DP in the future, but AudioDesk for now. I have a MOTU 2408. I hadn't heard the unsupported RAID info. Thanks!
