8 ohm or 4 ohm?

I just bought a pair of NS-10M Studio monitors from a friend. I was goignto use my Alesis RA150 amp to power them. The amp is 4 ohm and the speakers are 8 ohm. Is this OK?

Yep ! You won't get full power from the amp with the higher impedence load, but you won't hurt anything. A smaller, like 2 ohm, load might damage the amp, and 4 ohms will give you maximum efficiency, but you should be fine at 8.
