Ua 6176!!!

They are finally shipping me a 6176, (shipping was origanally Mid DEC)I put my order in November, I am looking forward to checking out this new crafted, low noise BIG sound box (also good looking)! Has anyone out there bought or considered buying one, has anyone recieved or heard one yet? Happy tracking>>>> Tom

Hi-
I remember going to a trade show in, like '87 or something and signingup
for the Alesis HR-16 Drum machine and feeling proud for being first
in line for a groundbreaking product. 4 mo. later.....
Well good on you lad, this thing is a winner, I hope. I'm gettin one
and I can only imagine the positive effect it will have on my vocal sound, as well as
DI bass, guitar, and all that I run thru the 1176. I'll let you know what happens.
Kind of wish I'd kept the HR-16 now tho- classic proto as it was - it had
wacky wiring that was point to point that was not to be believed! Later it was changed
and was much more like you would see in production models. I also have one of the 1st
Mackie 8 busses. Trend setter, that's me

Ok, I am back with the news: I am one of those who belives in getting the sound right from the start, if you get it right in tracking and it will sound great in mixing. That said, the 6176 takes that point through the roof!!! My kick, the DI bass tracks my vocals shine like never before and it is easy to dial in a beautiful sound with the 6176, warm, lush, clear and fat. Far surpassing my expectations, the circuts make the box.

Yamaha drums, bass, guitars, vocals, keys: Rock and roll And Pop/Rock and a mixture of both! Has any one else worked w- this unit I would like to hear your input.
