Hi everyone, I just signed up and this looks to be a surprisingly useful forum. Thanks in advance for reading.
HERE'S MY NEW PROBLEM:
I just upgraded my OS from 9.2.2 to OS X 10.2.3 on my normal startup drive and now there's no "digidesign" option in the sound control panel anymore. I'm used to using my Digi001 as the standard audio out from my mac to my mixer and I'll be dammed if I'm going to watch a DVD with my ear pressed up to that crappy G4 speaker. When I run prottols, I use a different startup disk with OS 9.2.1 and I really don't want to change that setup at all since it's really running well. I can always boot up in "classic" mode, butthat's not the point.
Is there a way to get audio out of my Digi001 while running OS X?
PS-Here's the background om my Mac setup:I run an old G4 350 at home with 2 internal drives. When I use my digi001, I always boot from my "audio" drive (OS 9.2.1), which has an optimized set of extensions for protools and disables things I don't need (internet and print utilities, etc) . Whenever I want to surf the web or do any office work (network gaming) I boot from my "normal" hard drive (now OS X). I find that on my relatively old G4 this method of minimizing the extensions I use keeps things running smoothy and avoids alot of conflicts and lagging.
Any input would be appreciated!
Thanks
