I'm just curious if you can mix and match Cinema/Studio Display sizes. I have a 22" Cinema Display, and since they've been discontinued, I'd have to hunt around on Ebay for another matching one. I don't need a lot more space, just enough to drag out my plug-in windows and extend my mixing board window in DP. So I'm wondering if I could pick up a relatively inexpensive 17" Apple Studio display LCD to use in conjunction with my 22" display, and if this would be hugely problematic as far as re-scaling and re-sizing the extended desktop is concerned for the video card.

Otherwise, I'm off to find another (probably too expensive 22").

Oh yeah, the computer is a G4-dual 800 MHz with 768 MB, two ATA internal drives, the video card in the AGP slot, a UAD-1 card in PCI slot 1, a PowerCore in slot 2 (when it arrives in a week or so, thanks Sweetwater!), a MOTU PCI-324 in slot 3, and an ATTO UW dual SCSI card in slot 4.

You shouldn't have a problem. I don't have studio displays, but I do have a 17" Apple CRT and a 20" Apple CRT that work just fine together on my G4-400 AGP.
I've mixed and matched monitor sizes in multiple configurations for years. Works great.
