I recieved my new Creation Station Tower 64 on Friday. Spent all day yesterday installing needed programs, drivers, etc.. Today I tried to un-install an outdated driver, and the thing crashed so hard it could be heard in Europe. Wouldn't even start Windows. Finally managed to start in safe mode, re-installed Windows, hunted down and installed video drivers. Got everything back to "normal", then an hour and a half into installation of Kontact 4, my monitors die. WTF!!! I waited for the CD drive light to go out, ejected the disk, and hit the reset button. Hey, look at this, everything's fine! Well, no it isn't. Waited a while, checked that Cubase and MOTU stuff was working (it seems to be), and tried to install Kontact again. Half an hour later, and things og dark again. Eject disc, hit reset, and here I am. I'm on the call list for tech support, but being Saturday, they're off enjoying themselves by now. I'm here with a $2000 boat anchor. Help.

Wait a day or so and try it again, or you cloud try the conventional wisdom by giving it a whack and seeing if that fixes anything(just kidding about that last part;). You could also look in to a mac pro; for about $1,000 or so more than a creation station, you can get a mac pro with a 1Tb hd and a minimum of 3Gb of RAM. For about $1,000 more than that, you can get the 8 core model with a 1Tb hd and minimum of 6Gb of Ram. Don't want to turn this into a "mac vs. PC" thread, but it sounds like you're having a lot of trouble, so why not try a mac?, I Know mine has worked almost flawlessly all the time I've had it.
