i think this is a simple fix, but i have always used mac with recording software and windows is foreign to me with regards to where everything is at for changing settings. i have a new laptop (dell latitude d830 with windows 7) given to me for free. trying to get the motu clockworks software to see not only the midi express xt (as it does do that) but also my master keyboard which is a quadrasynth. on mac it's easy. go to audio midi set up and everything shows up. the clockworks won't show the quadrasynth on the routing tab and i can't find anything in the controls section or in my software programs (samplitude 11 or reason 3) to set up the quadrasynth as the master keyboard. anyone have any ideas? i have seen logs for trying to change bios to change the usb settings, but i can't find that either
