MOTU 896, anything else out there?

Right now I'm looking into getting an 896 to record my A Cappella group with. I need something that is Firewire and I want somthing that will support the 96/24 rate which I know the MOTU will. I also want something that is Firewire. For the price, is there anything else like this that will allow me to record at least 8 tracks at a time with this sample rate that is Firewire? Or should I go with getting this for the group.

The Digi 002 or the Firestation would probably work for you as well. But both are a bit different than the 828 though, so I'd compare them and see which one has the features that fit your group the best.
