Hi ?
I recently bought a pair of a new hs80m monitors
and i have a strange problem , it seems like the left speaker
tend to emit a vibration in the tweeter that is heard with acoustic
voices especially piano and guitar .
when i listen to music i cant detect any problem ! But when i play a solo piano in cubase , reason , studio one or any other daw
this problem is really apparent , and it's so bad !!!

i have to mention that is a speaker problem , only the left speaker,
and it's not due to the cables, the samples or the sound card .

does any one have any ideas about this and how to solve it ?
Thanks in advance.

Off the top of my head it could be a couple things:
1) The speaker hasn't "burned-in" yet. Since it is new, as you said, the speaker may need a few more hours of running program material through it before it loosens up and sounds like it should.

2) You could be hearing a defective crossover or some other part that failed.

I assume you've tried switching the two speakers so when the "Left" speaker is connected to the Right output the (now) "Right" speaker distorts, yes?

I would run material through it for a few more days (something like 6-12 hours' worth to be safe) to rule out #1 before I would return it. Otherwise, time to return it...

thanks for reply

for 1/ yes it's a new speaker and iT didn't work enough for 6/12 hours and i will take this in account.
2/ this could be true and i have seen another user in another forum posting about the same problem but he didnt know what it was about and the dealer changed him that monitor and every thing was alright
i have switched to the right output and the distorsion is still there.

I honestly think that the tweeter is making vibration that is clear with acoustic sounds . I don't know but could this be a physical problem (is there any thing that may be not well attached inside) or is it a problem with the tweeter itself(a fabrication fault) ?
