I am learning to play acoustic guitar and bought a book
that came with a cd to practice on. It states that if I
pan my stereo all the way to the left I can take out the guitar
track so I can practice on my on. I need to know what
equipment I need to be able to do this? Preferably what is
the cheapest way to do this? Anything I can download online
to do this with?

Thanks for your help,
Jeff

You could always take some stereo headphones and only use one side.

Jeff,

Audacity will work as been mentioned:

If you have an amp with several input channels....use one for right channel and one for left....and dial out demo to hear the track, etc. You can patch cord from cd player to the amp, or if using portable player use cord with mini-jack on one end and two rca ends on the other and amp that way. Pretty easy and cheap!

Best wishes,

Lloyd
