The JBL SRX715 Bi-Amp specs state that the horn can handle 75w Continuous @ 8ohms but it will handle 150w Program and 300w Peak. I don't have an amplifier that only produces this wattage. The lowest I have is an old Fender SPL6000 which will send 150w @
8ohms. And just my luck this old amp doesn't have Speakon connectors. So, I will need to use a Peavey GPS 2600 which produces
650w @ 8ohms. Well beyond the specs. Will this hurt the horn driver? I am going to use a new dbx Driverack PA+ and of course my Peavey GPS series amplifiers are not listed in there. The system will have the JBL SRX718S subs too and I will run the mains and subs with the Peavey GPS3500 amps (775w @ 8ohms). Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
